The Carla Moran story is perhaps the most famous documented parapsychology cases to date. In 1974, a home in Culver City, California was the site where violent hauntings took place.
Dr. Kerry Gaynor and Dr. Barry Taff were the first investigators to be approached by the terrified single mother. Carla told them that she was being raped and beaten by a number of entities in her home. At first, the pair dismissed her story. They returned a short time later when a group of eye witnesses actually saw an apparition. Soon after they too began to see the strange phenomenon that was occurring there.
Here is Dr. Gaynor's account of what took place there.
In 1981, the movie The Entity was released. This movie is loosely based on the frightening events that took place in Culver City.
