On May 25, 1979, American Airlines Flight 191 crashed after takeoff from Chicago's O'Hare Airport killing all 273 on board.
The site of the crash is in an open field between Des Plaines Mobile Home and the Chicago K9 training area.
Within months of this terrible disaster, motorists claimed that they could see a number of lights appear in the field where the crash took place. Calls of strange lights flooded the Des Plaines Police Department as well. When officers went to the scene they never found anyone there.
Strange lights have been spotted around the world where disasters have taken place.
More bizarre are the reports from the residents of the mobile home near the site of the crash. Many people claim that they have heard footsteps approach their trailer, strange sounds outside and knocking on their doors. Some swear that when they have opened the door, a figure stood before them asking for their luggage.
Many people were too frightened to stay in their mobile homes and moved away.
To this date, the paranormal activity is ongoing. Perhaps it is because there is no marker or sign at the site of the crash to honor those who lost their lives that day.

The crash happened on my 12th birthday. Actress Lindsay Wagner of "Bionic Woman" was almost on that flight but changed her mind at the last minute.
I keep reading these stories about lost souls of flight 191, has anyone tried to help them? I'm not from this area so would not know? Everyone wants to tell their great ghost story, but i never hear about anyone helping them get out of their own personal hell here on earth! Hopefully someone with this GOD given ability will read this someday and do something about it!? I know if I'm lost within a tragedy of hell on earth i would want guidance to the promise land.
I read on wikipedia they just put up a memorial for the crash on October 15,2011
Actually, Linsey Wagner was enroute to O'Hare to catch this flight when her ride blew a radiator hose and broke down.
She didn't have a premonition
as many think.
I'd love to visit the site and see what it's like, if the dead still inhabit that place. I was 6 when this happened... no independent memory of it... but I've read a lot about it. Been to O'Hare twice, wish I had thought to check things out then. I'm a skeptic on paranormal things, but open totally to belief if I see proof... requiescite in pace, animi illi ibi...
I'm going to try and help them crossover. I've had abilities since I was 3 with communicating with the afterlife.
