The "Brown Lady"

This image of the "Brown Lady" is the most famous photograph taken of a ghost. This picture was taken at England's Raynham Hall, in the 1930's by photographer Captain Provand. Provand was a well known and respected photographer with Country Life Magazine. He and his assistant spotted the figure and quicky snapped this world famous photo. Some believe that this is the ghost of Lady Dorothy Walpole, sister of Robert Walpole, England's Prime Minister in 1722. The name "Brown Lady" came from the color of the dress this ghost was seen wearing when wandering the halls.

The ghost has not been seen since this photo was taken.

Many experts have gone with tooth and comb over this photograph unable to find any evidence of fraud.

thanks for sharing. Let me ask you about orbs. I took pictures this xmas with my digital camera, as did my daughter with her camera and all over the picture are orbs..We kept taking and the orbs were less or more or moving. I never had this before in any pictures. Can you explain any theory?

A popular paranormal theory is that the spirit draws the energy from a nearby source ie: powerlines, heat energy, batteries, people, etc...and use this to manifest.

Others believe that Orbs are the result of dust/debris on the lens or simply a natural occurrence produced by the digital camera.

In your case, it gets interesting when two different cameras produce the same result.
