October 14th- Hoax?

With October 14th hours away on my side of the planet, I have gotten a huge response regarding my thoughts on Blossom Goodchild's prediction that there will be an alien visitation by the so called "federation of light".

Here are the most popular opinions that readers have sent in over the last few days.

This is all a another hoax! Just another claim for fame.

If Blossom Goodchild is proven wrong, how will this affect Ufology? Will it even matter, as many believe that we do not need further proof of extraterrestrial life.

It's Project Blue Beam.

Just because nothing happens does not mean "they" don't exist.

Of course religion made its way into the comments and mass emails-which I'd rather not entertain. I'd like to think that if a disclosure took place ( such as what is claimed for tomorrow) there would be no religious divide.

Thanks again to all who came on here and shared their thoughts. Thanks to the many who emailed me with their opinions and felt it necessary to be heard.

It would be sad if this turns out to be another hoax. Don't know about you but I'm tired of all these people only out for the attention.

Well here in New Jersey, USA it's already 4:25 pm so I think it's safe to say this was a hoax. I still believe in extraterrestrials because I think it's arrogant to say we're the only ones in this universe. Doesn't anyone else find it improbable that we are alone? Anyway, it's a pity this was a hoax.

It is arrogant to believe that we are all alone out there. I am tired of all the publicity stunts.

WE ARE CERTAINLY IN SOME INTERESTING TIMES. HOWEVER,THE UFOLOGISTS WHO ARE CREDIBLE HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. I TOO BELIEVE WE ARE NOT ALONE. THOSE WHO CRAVE ATTENTION WILL ALWAYS BE OUT THERE.

I agree

I think Blossom was genuine in her belief, but I don't she has anything to say about the status of ufology: a ufologist is someone who tries to study UFOs scientifically and rationally. I don't see how Goodchild's prediction is a rational study of UFOs. But rational study of Goodchild is part of Ufology!

Great blog, by the way.
