Is the Jersey Devil’s range increasing? "New Jersey’s pine barrens might qualify as the strangest stretch of woods in the world. It is completely out of place, a huge thick pine forest with only a sparse rural population situated among developed and largely urban New Jersey. ***Most recent sighting: August 18, 2008 - Jersey Devil was rumored to have been spotted on Ebenezer Church Road in Rising Sun, Maryland. Three teenagers in a car watched the creature fly past the windshield of their vehicle and land a few feet away in a farmer's field.
