There's a lot of news on UFOs these days. Some reports are more interesting than others. What do think about this particular sighting?

As the article mentions, the jump in reported UFO sightings could be because it's becoming a mainstream issue again, and people are just more comfortable REPORTING it.
That being said, it's hard to believe hundreds of people would claim to see something that "bizarre" if they didn't. (And most people have a phone/camera on them at all times, so it's easier to get proof.)
If the number of sightings actually are increasing, what could be causing it? Other than 21/12/2012 approaching, but that could mean anything...or nothing.
