Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Here are some fun facts about Halloween

Halloween is one of the oldest celebrations in the world, dating back over 2000 years to the time of the Celts who lived in Britain.

The carving of jack-o'-lanterns originated from the tradition of carving the faces of lost souls into hollowed out pumpkins and turnips. A candle was placed inside the carvings making the faces glow. The Halloween lanterns were placed on doorsteps to ward off evil spirits.

Jack o’ Lanterns originated in Ireland where people placed candles in hollowed-out turnips to keep away spirits and ghosts on the Samhain holiday.

Orange and black are Halloween colors because orange is associated with the Fall harvest and black is associated with darkness and death.

If your pumpkin lantern shrivels up, you can restore it by soaking it overnight in water to re hydrate it
