Chateau of Versailles was home to the French royal family 1682 to 1789. Over the years, strange reports by visitors have been documented. It is believed that some people have actually traveled back in time during their visit to the grounds. People touring the area have witnessed changes in the landscape, which are much different then today, and have encountered people in clothing from the 18th century. Often this has left those individuals feeling lost and scared. Eventually they found themselves familiar with their surroundings again.
The most famous account of this strange occurrence is that of Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain.
Did these two women actually step into a time from long ago? What explains the details that they were able to give on their strange surroundings which match those of the 18th century?
