I thought so. I never did and still don't get why people think that if there are aliens / ET's out there that it means god does not exist and religion would cease to exist as a result of learning the truth.
Aura, the Vatican has relaxed it's position quite a bit in the astronomy field, I saw an excellent program on the space network called Galileo's Sons, about how the Vatican's astronomers are allowed to teach the Earth is Billions of years old not thousands, which is the general consensus of the averge church member.
