Deja Vu

Deja Vu-French word for already seen. "We have all some experience of a feeling, that comes over us occasionally, of what we are saying and doing having been said and done before, in a remote time – of our having been surrounded, dim ages ago, by the same faces, objects, and circumstances – of our knowing perfectly what will be said next, as if we suddenly remember it!" Charles Dickens

So where does this profound sense of familiarity stem from? Many theories exist as to what exactly deja vu is. Here I will list the most popular alternate explanations for this experience.

Astral Projection- the belief that one's soul can seperate from the body during sleep and travel places. Some say that deja vu is a result of us recalling a moment from a previous astral projection.

Premonitions- here situations are foreknown and the belief is that deja vu is actually one tapping into this abitlity.

Reincarnation- that déjà vu is caused by fragments of past-life memories being jarred to the surface of the mind by familiar surroundings or people. (Wiki)

Others, like psychic Sylvia Brown, say that prior to our birth we plan our life path. Deja Vu is a checkpoint that signifies we are on the correct path.

What do you think?
