I believe that the Egyptians and other ancient civilizations possessed a higher learning and understanding of things. They were a more advanced people then we are today. We are very narrowed minded and lack sight of the bigger picture. I think they did gain this knowledge from a supreme being or beings??? To be able to build such megalithic structures with only ones hands and primitive tools is a bit of a stretch.
