Mass Sighting Of UFO Sucking Up Water

In this video, a number of Australian eyewitnesses come forward with their account of what took place in Central Coast, New South Wales from December 1995-January 1996.

Australian investigators, Bryan Dickeson and Moira McGhee, collected the reports from this mass sighting and published them in a book entitled the Gosford Files.

I have not been successful in finding this book. Anyone with more information on this incident please email me.

Ghost In Graveyard?

There have been countless sightings and reports of ghosts being seen in and around graveyards for years. Often, there is no evidence of the sighting and the reports are based on eyewitness accounts only. Recently, I came across a video on a fellow bloggers site showing footage of what appears to be a ghost peering out from behind a headstone.

When I saw this video over at My Paranormal Life, I wasn't sure what to make of it.

What do you all think?

Crop Circles In France

On Sunday, May 27th, a crop circle appeared in the region of Moselle, France. From what I have found, this recent formation is believed to be a hoax.

This article has been translated into English.
"Farmers have just discovered a quite curious geometrical composition in the middle of their field"

Here are the top theories surrounding the origin of crop circles, also known as agroglyphes in other parts of the world.

Haunted Mansion

In an old part of Cincinnati, Ohio, there sits a Victorian mansion built around 1850 with a history of paranormal activity.

The Stenton House, as it is called, was a private residence at first later turning into a school for girls in 1900, and finally became subdivided into apartments post WWII. It was when the home was a private residence to the Henry Family, that their son committed suicide inside the home by shooting himself. Also, it is known that a girl from the school hanged herself in one of the upstairs rooms. This has led many to believe is the cause for all the ghostly activity that has been going on over the years.

When the Stenton Family occupied the largest of the apartments, they were woken up every night at the same time, 2:10a.m., to the sound of something very heavy hitting the marble floor. Each time, the family was never able to find the cause of this disturbance. The family also heard disembodied voices regularly along with footsteps which, at times, seemed to follow them around. One winter morning, Mrs. Stenton saw a fresh set of footprints in the snow leading away from her property.

Other tenants have reported the same phenomena over the years and the place is believed to still be haunted today.

A Haunting In Texas

"I came across your site and found it to be very interesting. I am a total fanatic about the paranormal. I love the movies, documentaries, everything. I live in Houston and I too have had many unexplained things happen.

In Beaumont, TX where I was born, the house that I grew up in I can say is haunted. That house is now home to another family member that has unexplained things happen to her. Anything from apparitions(sp) to poltergeist. A few years ago, I house sat for my aunt who lives there now. One night, about 2a.m., something kept knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell. I got up to check and no one was there. I turned around and it happened again. I thought I was just crazy till it happened again for a third time. I left the house in the middle of the night scared to death. Come to find out that the doorbell was one of those wireless ones that you put batteries in. I didn't know that. When I was told, I went to where the doorbell chime was in the house, opened the cover and the receiver did not have any batteries in it. Later that day, I was washing dishes in the kitchen. I was placing glass cups in the cabinet. I turned to bend down to get another glass and as soon as I did, the glass in the cabinet went flying across the kitchen and shattered. My aunt likes to drink beer. One night when she was alone, she opened the fridge and grabbed a beer. Before she closed the door, she said the bottle flew out of her hand and smashed on the wall behind her. One day, I was in the attic running cable to an area of the house. For a moment, I got a feeling that I was not alone. Something grabbed my shoulder and I ran down screaming. Weird thing is that the same thing happened to my dad about twenty years earlier when I was still an infant. My mother has seen a ghost of a little girl twice. My brother has seen a lady figure. We had a Houston paranormal team come and investigate and they came to a conclusion that this house was haunted by a man named Wallace. Whoever it is loves to move things and make noises. At Christmas time, this ghost loves to play with the crystal ornaments on the tree. Every night you can hear them clanking together. The family has pretty much gotten use to it now and we feel that there is no harm. We even speak out and say "stop that" or "be nice". Always seems to work."

Thanks MM for sharing your story!~~Aura

Bigfoot Audio Recordings

These are a few of my favorite Bigfoot recordings.

Snohomish, WA 1978-79 - These sounds were recorded by L.W. She was our neighbor's friend, and our creature encounters were occurring at about the same time in the state of Washington, 50 miles apart. L.W. sat on her porch nightly with her little dog as these screams came from the gravel pit near her house. She recorded the sounds for a total of 9 months. This particular recording shows the frequency and intensity of the sounds well. It is very similar to the Puyallup screams above, and the Klamath screams below, one of three nearly-identical recordings made in three different places over a 20-year period!

This clip, recorded at night by a researcher in the Klamath area of California in 1993, is eerily similar to the Puyallup and Snohomish screams, although MUCH clearer. It is, to date, the cleanest recording of a purported Sasquatch vocalization.

Westmoreland County, PA 1973 - A recording of a creature moaning after being fired upon.

Ghost Detecting Cell Phone!?!

"In what may be the single greatest mobile application of all time, the Discovery Channel is offering downloads of a ghost detection program for compatible cell phones. The download is free, as long as you sign up for a subscription to its Most Haunted website.

As any self-respecting ghost buster knows, paranormal investigators say that fluctuations in Electro Magnetic Fields (E.M.F.) are the indicators for paranormal activity. Apparently, this application works by measuring variations in data transmission times to and from your mobile phone, which it takes from fluctuations in the local electromagnetic field.

It's at this point in the post that we're supposed to make a joke about 'Ghostbusters' and the phrase, "Who you gonna call?" -- but we'll spare you."

Supernatural Hawaii

Story written by A.V. Michaels

"Hawaii is a gorgeous place to live, most would agree. The weather is unbeatable, the people are full of aloha and the beach is always close by. I suppose some might say it has its downsides too – things tend to be more expensive, and it always takes longer to get things done because most people would rather be playing than working.

Whether Hawaii’s legendary creepiness is a downside or not depends on your point of view, but unless you live here you might not be aware of all the strangeness that goes on – and the blithe, casual way people live with the phenomena. It’s just part of life here, given the diversity of cultural influences regarding the spirit world and its pervasiveness in everyday existence.

The first experience I had was talking to the rocks. It might sound strange but since then I’ve heard such stories from many, many people here. Pele, the volcano goddess, has created a virtual army of bizarre lava rock formations that often seem to contain faces and shapes, and in the right state of consciousness you can hear them whisper their wisdom. What they told me was scarier than hearing their voices: they have been here for a very, very long time, waiting; but that time is now short. Later I picked up the great book Obake File: Ghostly Encounters in Supernatural Hawaii and a shiver went down my spine when I read the chapter on the rocks. Witnesses account that giant rocks, said by local shaman to contain demigods, have gotten up and moved on their own. Supposedly the great god Kane lived in a famous rock in Pearl Harbor until the day the monarchy was overthrown by the US government on January 17, 1893, when it abruptly disappeared.

We get spirits, too; a lot of them. All locals know about the Nightmarchers, and if your house is located on one of their ancient trails, you’re in for some trouble. I’ve heard people tell about seeing an army of ancient Hawaiian apparitions marching through their living room on a full moon. Rumor has it people have actually had houses moved out of these paths. Whenever anyone builds a house or starts a business they always have it blessed in Hawaiian – whoever you are, spiritual or not, this is simply the way it’s done. Don’t tempt the local spirits – trust me. We have to periodically cleanse and bless our own home – not that they’re evil, but they do seem to grow in numbers and they eventually start to irritate my husband, who can see them much better than I can. They try to hide in the mirrors but we’re hip to that trick.

The most astounding experience however has been the fairy lights. I’ve read similar accounts of people seeing strange colored globes of light flitting around various places, all over the world, in fact. There are certain places in Hawaii they simply abound, especially during a full moon for some reason. Initially they like to pretend they are emergency trucks in the distance – until you realize 1) there is no road out there or 2) they suddenly all spin into a circle and blink in patterns. The locals call them ’akualele’, or fireballs. My husband has had many, many very close encounters with them, and is convinced they are conscious in some sense. They have come within 10 to 15 feet of him, and he describes them as, “spheres about the size of basketballs with spun glass inside (angel hair, like for Christmas), all lit up but changing colors rapidly, red, green, blue, orange, yellow, purple.” He said when he laughs, they light up brighter and bounce up and down a little as if they’re imitating him. The most incredible story involves an outing at one of these more remote places with our teen-aged nephew, who had gone hiking away a few miles and as it got dark my husband began to worry when he didn’t return to his calls. He began to yell louder and louder, when he saw one of the lights speed off away from him. Our nephew returned later to say one of the fireballs had screeched up right next to him whereby he heard his uncle’s voice loud and clear, calling for him, at which time he turned around and headed back the approximately two miles he had walked. The light they emit is strange, and when photographed one can see the different light spectrums. Though difficult to capture and then interpret, here are a few shots they managed to get. My own spirit tells me they are just curious thought forms; some kind of earth spirit or perhaps they are peering at us through vast distances of time, space or dimension.

Since moving here six years ago I’ve fallen in love with this place, this island, this Hawai’i. Its beauty and energy both bring me solace and nurture my inspiration. If you are in Hawaii or ever plan to visit, take some time for a supernatural tour of its legends and mysteries. You won’t be disappointed." A.V. Michaels

Silver Cliff Ghost Lights

Another well known place to paranormal researchers the Silver Cliff Cemetery in Colorado. Ghost lights can be seen dancing around the tombstones in this cemetery at night. Witnesses say that the lights often appear a bluish white in color, in groups of 3 or four and quickly disappear when approached.

The town of Silver Creek was a mining hot spot in the late 1800's. The first reported sighting of the 'ghost lights' took place in 1880 by a group of miners traveling past the cemetery one evening. Scared by what they saw, they continued on their way. Since then, the lights have been seen on a regular basis.

Skeptics say that the lights come from the surrounding buildings and homes in the small town. To disprove this theory, everyone came together in the town and shut off all sources of light surrounding the cemetery including the street lights. The ghost lights were still seen dancing around the cemetery that night. Another suggestion as to the source of the lights was the possibility of radioactive ore in the area. Geiger counters were brought in and combed the area. No radioactivity was detected. Could these lights be the souls of the miners who lost their lives and continue to search for the gold they never found?

Ghosts of the Outback

Australia is home to a number of hauntings. One of this countries most well known ghosts is called 'ghost of the outback'. Eyewitnesses have recalled seeing a "short dark-featured" apparition on numerous occasions near Corroboree Rock. Many believe this to be the spirit of a man from the Arunta Aboriginal Tribe. Members of the tribe were known to use the area where this spirit has been seen for their initiation ceremonies, sometimes ending in death. In 1959, the Reverend R.S. Blance took a color photograph at Corroboree Rock when no one else was in the area. Here is a link where you can find that photo. (It is first on the page)

Another well known haunted location is that of the Monte Cristo homestead in the town of Junee. This place has it all. Apparitions seen floating through rooms, unexplained noises, and objects moving about on their own. It is often called "Australia's most haunted house" and I can see why. There are those who have been so frightened by what they encountered here that they refuse to return.

To keep things short, I will end this post here. Australia has a history rich in tales of ghosts, strange happenings and "things that go bump in the night". I will be posting more on the Outback soon.

Skinwalkers

According to Navajo legend, Skinwalkers are witches that can take form by shape-shifting into different animals.

In a previous post, I wrote about the Skinwalker Ranch located in Northern Utah. Since then, I have come across a number of articles written about other people who have also had terrifying encounters with these creatures.

In, "A family encounters a creature from the dark side of Navajo legend", Stephen Wagner writes about a horrifying experience a family had while driving late at night through the Navajo Indian Reservation.

The thought of witches turning into animal-like creatures seems crazy. However, I am convinced that the majority of people saw something they truly believed to be unnatural. Many of these people have been emotionally scarred by what happened to them, and their health has suffered as a result. As with alien abductees and close encounters, those in the right state of mind to begin with, now struggle to live normal lives after their experiences.

Haunted Store in England

"Staff and customers at a lighting shop in North East Lincolnshire have been turning a whiter shade of pale after a spate of ghostly goings-on."Jayne Elliott

My readers from the United Kingdom may have come across this article recently at BBC News.
Lights drop from the ceiling, shades are thrown, doors open and slam, and footsteps echo throughout Beagles Lighting on Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby.

Haunted Office

Here is what the person who captured this footage said about his video.

"Our filing cabinet kept opening on its own and we couldn't figure out why, so we decided to set up a video camera and see if we could catch it on tape. It took some time, but we finally got it. The skeptic in me is preventing me from saying it's a ghost, but it certainly is weird and unexplainable."

What do you all think about this video? Is this genuine footage of paranormal activity or not?

Rand over at My Paranormal Life shows his readers how to make a ghost video.
I am on the fence with this one.

Vampires, Strigoi...Oh Boy!

"In Romanian mythology, strigoi (same form singular or plural) are the evil souls of the dead rising from the tombs (or living) that transform into an animal or phantomatic apparition during the night to haunt the countryside, troubling whoever it encounters." (Wiki)

The idea of a non mortal waking at night to suck the blood from it's prey sounds crazy, right?

Check out this story that I found on Strictly Paranormal.

"People have believed in vampires for thousands of years, and surprisingly, there is quite a body of documented evidence which seems irrefutable. For example, in Yugoslavia in 1732, a group of civil and military officials, together with a Public Prosecutor and a troop of 24 soldiers under the command of a lieutenant of Duke Charles Alexander of Wurttemberg, went to the grave of where an alleged vampire had been buried three years earlier. At the graveside the soldiers and officials were joined by a number of 'various respected persons' who had also arrived to witness a sensational event: the execution of a vampire.

Over the last two weeks, it had been claimed that the man in the grave had murdered one of his brothers, and three of his nieces and nephews. He had subsequently been disturbed while sinking his teeth into the delicate neck of his fifth victim - another niece - whose blood he had sucked on two previous occasions. The bloodthirsty uncle had been seen to flit from the scene of the attacks with incredible agility into the direction of the graveyard, and now the authorities had been called in to put the vampire to rest, hopefully for good.

By the light of the soldier's lanterns, the grave looked disturbed, and the soil above it was inexplicably loose. Several soldiers dug down to the coffin, and were alarmed to see that the lid of the casket was not fastened down. They clambered out of the hole and two volunteers and a priest carefully descended into the open grave, armed with crucifixes, cloves of garlic, a copy of the Bible - and an iron bar with a sharpened end.
The priest lifted the coffin lid and passed it up to two other soldiers. Everyone present trembled to see that the 'corpse' in the coffin looked in the best of health, but had a somewhat ashen complexion. One of the soldiers then acted on a silent signal from the priest and plunged the iron bar through the vampire's chest, piercing its heart. A sickly white thick fluid and a great quantity of blood spurted out from the chest and mouth of the man in the coffin, and he screamed in agony. A hacksaw was handed to the other soldier in the grave pit, and he set about sawing off the vampire's head. As he sawed through the neck, the man in the coffin tried to talk, but seemed to choke on his blood. The severed head was later buried in quicklime, and the headless body was left in the coffin and covered with soil again. After the grisly ritual there were no further vampire attacks in the village. This incident is just one of hundreds that have been documented in Europe."

This site also has a modern day account of the Lodge Lane vampire as documented from 1983 to 2001.
