Here is an experience sent to me by one of my readers.

"I like your website and have an experience of my own concerning the supernatural. One night back in October 2001 at 2:00AM, I was trying to sleep but could not. I was alone in the room and it was dark. With my eyes closed and being aware of everything, I could feel someone or something touching my lower leg. Then it touched my upper leg. I did not want to get up, but just wanted to know what it was. Finally it touched my chest and I jumped out of bed and turned on the light expecting to see something near my bed. Nothing was in the room with me. Whatever it was disappeared into thin air. It had to be a spirit, I figured.

I am a believer in guardian angels having had my life spared 3 times in the military. Once I was strangely aware of an ambush up ahead of our squad and told the other infantrymen we should not go in that direction. They disbelieved me, so I told them to give me some time to look with binoculars. After about a half hour I saw the enemy watching us with binoculars. They decided I was right and we went back the way we came. They shot at us at over 1000yds and missed us. We returned back to camp, although it could have turned out very different if I had not been informed by my guradian angel. We might have all been killed."

Hayswood Hospital Ghost Video

According to area residents, lights have been seen in a number of the windows and strange sounds can be heard coming from inside this building. There is no question what can be seen at the end of this video, but is the footage genuine?

After watching the show, I feel that these individuals were being sincere and have seen something out there. Something that truly scared them and made them question their beliefs. I also think that there are individuals who are out there trying to create an elaborate hoax and trick Bigfoot investigators. My advice to them- stop. Someone is going to get shot!

Winchester Mystery House

The Winchester Mystery House is perhaps one of the strangest and most fascinating homes in the United States, if not the world. This famous California attraction was built by Sarah Winchester, heiress to the Winchester Rifle fortune, over a 38-year period until her death in 1922.

Seeking solace after the death of her daughter and husband, Sarah met with a medium who told her that the Winchester family was cursed due to so many deaths from the rifle designed by her husband. According to this medium, many spirits were seeking vengeance and in order to appease the spirits she must build a house in a constant state of construction for them or she will die. Sarah moved west and did just that.

Each night Sarah held a seance to receive messages from the spirits on how to build the home. These nightly "conversations" resulted in a number of strange features in the home. There are doors and stairs built leading to nowhere, trap doors, closets that open to walls only, numerous fireplaces and other strange oddities.

Many say this place is haunted by former workers and Sarah herself. Staff and visitors have reported hearing footsteps, strange voices, cold spots and moving objects on a number of occasions. Some paranormal investigators have captured EVP's and other anomalies on film too. Is this proof that this home is haunted? Or could this be nothing more than a creepy house that causes our minds to play tricks on us?

Ghosts of Charleville Castle

Charleville Forest Castle is one of the many places in Ireland with ghosts as permanent residents. Built in 1798, for the first Earl of Charleville Charles William Bury and his family, this castle is said to be finest Gothic Revival building in Ireland. The castle remained in the hands of the Charleville family until 1963 when Colonel Charles Howard-Bury suddenly dropped dead.

Today, Bridget Vance owns the property and is restoring the castle to its original beauty. Workers there believe that they have awakened the spirits of those who remain here. Ghostly voices and classical music have been heard throughout the castle. Often the sounds of children playing can be heard coming from the room that was once the nursery. A young girl named Harriet died tragically while playing in the stairwell many years ago. Her apparition has been seen in the stairwell and people have also felt a cold spot brushing past them as they descend the steps. The castle was built on land that was once an ancient druid burial ground. Hooded figures have been seen by members of the Vance family.

This castle has been investigated by many paranormal investigators from around the world and they agree that this is one of the "spookiest castles" in Ireland.

Afghanistan Army Base Ghost

The ghost of a little girl was seen in and around the guard towers of a military base in Afghanistan. Stories about the ghost are well known with the U.S. soldiers who patrolled this base. The towers overlooked a nearby graveyard. When paratroopers Spc. Drew Painter and Spc. Jeremiah Jackson were on duty one night they heard chilling laughter come across their radio. A few hours later the men sensed that they were not alone in the tower and could hear movement around them. The second tower radioed over saying that they were seeing a 3-foot-tall form moving around the bottom of the base. After a reluctant investigation nothing was found.

The first sighting of this ghost involves two Marines who were up in the tower one night. Through their night-vision goggles they saw a little girl walking with a goat on the road. When they removed the goggles she was gone. When they put them back on the girl appeared right in front of them on the balcony of their tower. The two Marines fled the tower that night and refused to return.

Haunted Winnipeg

Some many think that Winnipeg is home only to marshes and mosquitoes. Not so. There are a number of places that are reportedly haunted in this "Gateway to the West".

Fort Garry Hotel - While in preparation for the grand opening, an employee was accidentally killed while repairing the elevator. A bride and groom were murdered here while honeymooning by a jealous family member. Many have seen and heard the sobbing bride roaming the halls looking for her husband. Hotel workers have seen strange things on the second floor of this hotel along with unusual sounds. It is believed that room 202 is haunted by a cloaked figure that stands at the foot of the bed.

Portage Place Mall - A number of the stores are plagued by objects being moved and thrown. While in the back of the San Francisco Store employees often hear the cries of a little girl.

The Walker Theatre - Doors open and close. Mysterious applauding sounds can be heard from unoccupied seats after performances. Investigators here once captured an EVP of hammering sounds, footsteps and whispers when no one else was there. It is believed that two ghosts who were former actors here are responsible for these disturbances.

Real Haunted Libraries

Looking for a list of haunted libraries? Cold spots, strange sounds, apparitions and other strange phenomena have been reported at a number of libraries throughout the United States. These ghosts are said to be former staff members, patrons and area residents.

Recently I was contacted by the Britannica Blog and sent a list of haunted libraries that are in the U.S. The list is compiled every two weeks. Check it out, maybe the library in your hometown is haunted.

1976 Tehran UFO Incident

"The 1976 Tehran UFO Incident was a radar and visual sighting of an unidentified flying object(UFO) over Tehran, the capital of Iran, during the early morning hours of September 19, 1976. The incident is particularly notable for the electromagnetic interference effects observed on aircraft in close proximity to the object: two F-4 jet interceptors independently lost instrumentation and communications as they approached, only to have them restored upon withdrawal; one of the aircraft also suffered temporary weapons systems failure while preparing to fire upon the object. The incident is well-documented in an U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report with a distribution list that included the White House, Secretary of State, Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Security Agency(NSA),and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Various high-ranking Iranian military officers directly involved with the events have also gone on public record stating their belief that the object was not terrestrial in origin."(Wiki)

The Incident

This case is one of my favorites. In my opinion it is one of the best documented UFO incidences with credible evidence that extraterrestrials exist.

Some researchers believe that quartz plays an important role in paranormal activity. (David Tilt) Research has shown that many areas known as "paranormal hot spots" have quartz containing rocks in the soil. Could quartz act as a generator for the electric charge that some ghosts, spirits or hauntings use to manifest at some locations?

Spirits Captured On Film

You may own what could soon become a key tool in providing proof that the spirit world exists. People all over the world are using digital cameras everyday and some are capturing orbs in the process.

There is a lot of skepticism surrounding orbs and their appearance in digital photography. Dust on the lens, reflection from the flash and water droplets make up for most of the explanations given. But what if controlled experiments were done to find the true source of these balls of light? Klaus Heinemann, a professor and researcher for NASA, did just that.

"Before using a Ouija board one should perform the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram to stay safe from the nasties. If you're not experienced with magic or performing rituals then I wouldn't try it. It's pointless anyways. I believe the answers to all of our questions are inside of us so it's pointless to rely on the spirits. It wastes energy and time."

Saskatchewan Crop Circle: A Hoax

The Saskatchewan Crop Circle has been recently reported as a hoax. According to farmer Calvin Michel, he has learned that friends of his were pulling a prank on him and responsible for the crop circle. Apparently these unnamed individuals have been creating crop circles in the area for the past 3 years.

The Devil's Footprints

On a chilly February morning in 1855, residents of Devon, England, woke up to a number of strange U-shaped hoof prints in the snow. The strange markings continued for 100 miles, measuring 4 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and eight inches apart before abruptly stopping. The prints traveled over houses, gardens, rivers, haystacks and other obstacles. These strange footprints appeared on snow-covered roof tops, over high walls and, leading up to and exiting various drain pipes of as small as a four inches in diameter! Townspeople began calling these strange prints 'The Devil's Footprints' and kept indoors the nights that followed for fear of its return.
