On April 18-20, the X-Conference, produced by the Paradigm Research Group, was held in Maryland focusing on extraterrestrial-related phenomena. The PRG's main initiative is to end the government imposed truth embargo on formal acknowledgment of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race - Disclosure.

The Grim Reaper

Perhaps the most universally recognized harbinger of death is the Grim Reaper. It is believed that he appears to those who are at deaths door silently beckoning them to join him.

The most widely known image is that of a tall, slender, male entity with a monks robe tied at the waist and a sickle or scythe in hand. The figure is known to glide effortlessly, rather than walk, and overall brings an overwhelming sense of death to the observer.

I have my own story to tell of the Grim Reaper coming to visit a loved one. It was early 2000 - my great grandfather woke one morning to tell us of a dream he had the night before. He said, "the man with the sickle came for me last night." That immediately sent a chill right through me. He continued by telling us that the door bell rang and when he opened it there stood the hooded man with the sickle in hand. He looked at my great grandpa and said he was here for Jacob (he said his last name also). When I asked my great grandpa what he then said, he proceeded to tell us that he told the entity that he had the wrong house and slammed the door shut in its face!! That caused each of us to let out a giggle or two and set our fears aside for the time being. We knew it would not be long before we lost him, as he was saying other things relating to the "other side". A few months later grandpa died at the age of 92- three days following my great grandma.

Every time I hear Blue Oyster Cults "Don't Fear The Reaper", I think of them.

Phoenix Lights Return?

Have the infamous Phoenix Lights returned? Well, according to an eye witness, Monday nights mystery lights over the city were nothing more than flares attached to helium balloons.

Strange and Unexplained

These are some of my favorite posts from the past of strange and unexplained occurrences.

Skinwalker Ranch tops my list with everything from ghosts and UFOs to creatures in the night and portals into other dimensions.

Every now and then I will do a post falling into the cryptozoology category. Once of my favorites is the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp which has sent chills up the spines of many residing in the area of this creatures sightings. Recently there has been news of it's possible return. Blood samples were taken but later deemed inconclusive due to contamination.

When it comes to UFOs I have a number of favorites but the NASA UFO video is at the top of my list.

The Goldfield Hotel

Once considered to be one of the most luxurious hotels in America, the Goldfield Hotel now stands vacant and believed to house a number of ghosts trapped within its crumbling walls. Evidence of paranormal activity at the Goldfield made headlines when Ghost Adventures captured some of the most compelling paranormal footage to date.

The most famous ghostly resident at the hotel is said to be a murdered prostitute named Elizabeth, who has been linked to room 109. It is also said that the former owner George Wingfield still roams about and the smell of his cigar smoke can be found near the lobby. Strange sounds, shadowy figures and disembodied voices are other unexplained phenomena experienced here.

Recently Ghost Hunters did an investigation at the hotel. I'm looking forward to their findings which will air this Wednesday on SciFi.

Haunted Virginia Home

Many believe Virginia to be one of the most haunted states in the US. Numerous battles were fought during the American Civil War all across the state, and today many of these took place near areas that are now being developed for homes and businesses. It is a popular belief in many cultures that hollowed ground should not be disturbed. Read this story sent in by one reader who's home has many strange and unexplained events going on.

"We moved to Glen Allen, VA in 2002. Within a month our dog began to sit in the living room growling and barking into the kitchen, no matter what we did he would not stop. We found that one of the lights in the kitchen would turn itself on and off at different times, the oven turned itself on as well. Before the years end I had gotten up real early in the morning and hear what sounded like people whispering in the living room, but when I got in there, it stopped, and the TV was not on same with the stereo. In the spring of 2003, I had been in a car accident, rear-ended by someone talking on a cell phone, and was not able to work anymore. One evening my husband and I went to bed. He woke me up by siting up and putting his hand over my month and telling me to be quite. There was whispering in the spare room next to our room, and it sounded like someone was in the house plus the dog was making a low growling noise. He got up to see if our house was being broke in to, but when he went in the spare room there wasn't anyone there, or any where in the home, except our dog and us. The following mid-morning while I was lying down in our bed (from the accident) our two dogs, that were outside in the pen located on the side of the house where our room and the spare room are, began to bark. I heard a woman's voice and she said "Hi there." I looked out the widows but no one was there, but the dogs were acting weird. Things were quite for a while.

It became fall and once again our house dog began to growl and bark at the kitchen. The oven began to turn itself on again, the light seemed to have a mind of its own, and now the burners on the stove started to change temp's, turn on by themselves plus we heard the whispering again. While I was in the kitchen cooking I saw a black shadow (no definable shape) moving between the floor and counter, our dog ran to me and sat on my feet, barking. We would be in the living room and hear what sounded like someone walking where the bedrooms are located, when checked, nothing was there. This went on all fall and part of the winter, then things would be normal. One of our adult kids came to visit that summer. He slept in the spare room. One morning he got up and asked if something was wrong with the room. He said that the bed had been moving up and down during the night and that he saw a red light in the room that moved around. The week he was here in that room he said every night something was wrong in the room, he heard a womans voice but couldn't understand what was said, the bed moved another night and even after being teased about it, he stuck to his story. After he left I heard knocking on the window in the same room during the day, but nothing was there, while he had been here a few changes had been made in the house, painting and such. Things were quite for a good while.

One of our daughters moved in the following spring, at first things were fine, but then I saw a very large shadow that had no shape in the corner of the living room. The dog wouldn't go near that area and barked at it, my daughter saw it too. the house began to feel "uncomfortable" and that area seemed darker than the rest of the living room no matter what time it was. Things would start to disappear then show up somewhere else in the house days later if they showed up ever again. My daughter's personalty changed, and she was asked to leave. After she left the shadow was gone.
We spoke with the people who lived here before us and asked them if anything was off, or odd here when they lived here. We were told yes, when they did some work on the house things were real off here, but they figured that it was her grandmother who passed on while living here around that time a neighbor down the road told us she had found some civil war gravestones on her land in the woods.

The neighbor, a real nice man behind us passed on. Their daughter lives in a house on their land in front of their house in which his mother had lived in until she passed on. On Halloween night I saw a shadow figure of a man walking down that driveway, which goes by the house the daughter lives in. His wife began to tell us that while she was lying on the couch at night to sleep (she couldn't bring herself to sleep in their room) she heard someone walking on the front porch, but when she looked, no one was there and that someone was banging or knocking loudly at night on her door. She put up motion lights. The daughter told us the something happened at her house at night, she too put up lights.

Things continued to happen over here on and off like the dishwasher on wheels when it would be connected to the water and power to run, the water would turn off, plus the light that seemed to have a mind of its own was doing its thing. I had to take off the burner knobs so the burners couldn't turn on by themselves because on several mornings I would get up in the morning and they would be on along with the oven. One night I was standing in the kitchen waiting for the dishwasher to be done using the water when I saw a shadow (no shape) moving on the floor, by me then in between the stove and dishwasher, suddenly the light over the stove turned off and at the same time the light (that has a mind of it's own) turned on. The dog ran out of the kitchen. I shut off the dishwasher and left the room.

One of our other daughters moved in, while she was here all this continued plus puddles of water in the middle of the bathroom floor started showing up and in the hallway making the carpet wet. My daughter was out one night, we just went to bed when I heard banging or loud knocking at the door, and a woman's voice saying "help me." I went to one door, my husband went to the other door, no one was there, not even a head light or tail light from a car. One morning we woke up and on the middle of the couch on the cushion is an imprint of a fore arm and hand, my husband, myself, my father and daughter all tried to brush it off to no avail. My daughter moved out. Yesterday morning there was a puddle of water in the middle of the bathroom floor, nothing is leaking in the bathroom. I spoke to my neighbor down the road and she reminded me of the civil war gravestones she has in her yard and add that her neighbor's boy's while playing in the wooded area of their land had come across gravestones too. We are moving."

My Interview With Stanton Friedman

Stanton Friedman has become one of the most well-known and respected Ufologists to date. With a BSc and MSc degree in physics, he has worked as a Nuclear Physicist for 14 years on advanced technologies with a number of leading industrial companies. In 1967, he began lecturing on the topic of flying saucers and has done so at more than 600 colleges and over 100 professional groups in 50 states, 9 provinces and 16 countries. He has published more than 80 UFO papers and appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs such as Larry King Live. He is the original civilian investigator into the Roswell Incident and co-author of "Crash at Corona: The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident." He has been referred to by some as "The Godfather of Ufology" and coined the phrase "Cosmic Watergate" to describe the government's lack of disclosure and probable deception.

Recently I contacted Mr. Friedman with 10 questions and he was kind enough to reply.

Aura: What led to your interest and study into the UFO phenomenon?

SF: As a young nuclear physicist working at the General Electric Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion Department in 1958 I read Ed Ruppelt’s “The Report on UFOs.” It intrigued me. I read about 15 more books and then discovered “Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14” at the U. of California, Berkeley, Library. It hadn’t been mentioned in the other books. Provided a massive amount of data. The Press release which was included proved the Sec. of the Air Force was lying. The data made an excellent case for some UFOs as alien spacecraft.

Aura: What has been the most challenging aspect to your research.

SF: Hard to compare watermelons and oranges. Lack of funding is a major problem though I have managed to get to 20 Archives. Lies from the government and from ancient academics, fossilized physicists, and a collection of debunkers. Resistance on the part of arrogant ignorant journalists to doing the required homework and admitting their ignorance is another.

Aura: What one incident, in your opinion, has brought forth the best evidence that we have been visited by a craft originating from beyond earth?

SF: Again hard to compare kumquats and papayas. The Betty and Barney Hill case with the very important star map research of Marjorie Fish is at or near the top of the list as described in “Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience” by myself and Kathleen Marden, Betty’s niece. Obviously I am also convinced about the Roswell Incident despite all the false garbage dumped on it by the Piled Higher and Deeper Brigade (PhDs). I discuss this and others in “Flying Saucers and Science“ to be published by June.

Aura: There are many theories regarding the origin of UFOs, what is yours?

SF: I am an experimentalist not a theoretician. The data in the Hill case indicate those aliens came from just down the street from a planet around Zeta 1 or Zeta 2 Reticuli,(the closest to each other pair of sun-like stars in the local neighborhood) 39.2 light years away and a billion years older than the sun and only 1/8th of light year apart from each other. Ours is a very very young “civilization” and I suspect there are loads of others not very far away. There are at least 45 sun-like stars within 55 light years. Because interstellar travel is indeed feasible I expect there has been plenty of colonization and migration.

Aura: A lot of people say that if aliens existed they would have already made themselves known What is your response to this belief?

SF: Why would they? Nobody has provided any evidence to support this belief. They certainly know we know they are here from all the radar tracking we have done. Clearly we are a primitive society whose major activity is tribal warfare. We “only” killed 50 million of our own kind and destroyed 1700 cities in WW 2. Obviously, for all we known, aliens may have had contacts with many governments.. and they are not here to have tea with Earthlings. I deal with others of the “why” questions in an article on my website www.stantonfriedman.com especially in “The UFO Why Questions”. Governments have been very skillful at keeping multi billion dollar programs secret such as the Corona and Poppy Satellites, the stealth fighter, and many other black programs.

Aura: What do you feel has done the most harm to Ufology over the years?

SF: The failure of the press and scientific communities to search for truth.

Aura: What direction do you see Ufology heading in and what are your hopes for its future?

SF: I hope the lid will be blown off the “Cosmic Watergate”;that there will be more college courses taught, and more PhD theses done on UFOs, and there will be international conferences about the implications of our not being alone for religion, economics, science. We need to wake up and smell the universe. Science journals need to be ready to publish good material. Max Plank, a great physicist, once said that “new ideas come to be accepted, not because their opponents come to believe in them, but because a new generation grows up that is accustomed to them”. The old dinosaurs are fading and younger people like John Greenewald and James Carrion and others are moving in.

Aura: What do you suspect are the reasons behind, what some would call, the deliberate suppression of information by governments surrounding UFOs and extraterrestrials?

SF: I give a bunch of reasons in my “UFO Why Questions”. Most important are desire to duplicate the flight characteristics for military purposes, the worry about others beating us to the punch, a desire to remain in power as a nationalistic entity and to keep us from thinking of ourselves as Earthlings. Worry about impact on religion.Wish to avoid admitting that UFOs have apparently destroyed some of our aircraft trying to destroy the UFOs. Orders were given in 1952 to “shoot them down, if they don’t land when instructed to do so”. See Frank Feschino Jr’s book “Shoot Them Down”.

Aura: Many have made claims that they have been abducted by extraterrestrials/alien beings. What is your opinion on abductions and what evidence have you seen that lends credibility to them or detracts from them?

SF: I am convinced that some Earthlings have been abducted by some aliens. Each case must be taken on its own merits. There has been some fine work done by Budd Hopkins, David Jacobs, Ray Fowler, John Mack, Yvonne Smith, John Carpenter, etc. Again I would refer to “Captured!”. There is a general consistency to many accounts that is impressive.

Aura: What advice can you give to amateur Ufologists?

SF: Do your homework. Have facts in hand before putting mouth in gear. There is a lot to learn.

My wife and I have a strong reason to leave a comment on this page.

The story of the Kailash Dhanaraksha Yantra Talisman is a strange story, but not altogether unbelievable. The story of strange and unexplained phenomena occurring among inanimate articles and objects is an area that science has not delved into sufficiently, and my wife and I have had first-hand experience of this phenomena that we shall never forget in our lifetime.

On a trek during a visit to Nepal back in 1984, my wife and I were once accosted by a "spirit" that suddenly appeared from behind a tree thirty feet or so in front of us.
Here is a comment that was recently added to my Haunted House In Atlanta, Georgia post.

"The wind was blowing in strong gusts, and like some kind of animation horror movie, the dead leaves around a tree some yards in front of us took the form of a small "man-like" creature.

All of us almost immediately stopped in our tracks in shock and amazement. The local guide accompanying us was a man of Tibetian origin, whose family lived in Ladakh, India. He immediately yelled out to us to sit down and remain still, while he chanted some prayers. The figure before us slowly disintegrated into a heap of twigs and leaves leaving us a little frightened and bewildered, and wondering whether we were imagining things. Our guide explained to us that it was a "tulpa" wandering out of a local monastery,the first time my wife and I had heard about this "thought-form".

Later when we related this incident to friends in Florida, some of them laughed and referred to something called a "dust-devil", a small and commonly occurring twister that often appears to chase you.

We were unable to convince anyone that what we had seen was quite something else! The dry and dead leaves had risen from the floor of the forest and had taken a clear human-like form, NOT twisting and twirling in the wind. The gust of wind was definitely there, but something human-like was moving in our direction from a thickly wooded area. A clearly visible head, bilaterally symmetrical shoulders, arms, and two feet that took definite "strides" in our direction were clearly visible to all of us. It was no dust-devil or twisting swirl of leaves. Besides it was broad daylight.

This first-hand experience makes me believe that the story about the Kailash Dhanaraksha Yantra Talisman must be very true. In the West we have yet to learn some of the strangest spiritual accomplishments(?) of the Orient."

Strange Lights Over Virginia

Here is another sighting from Virginia that took place on April 4, 2008. Any of my other readers from this area seeing similar things?

"Last night at a little after 11:00 PM I went outside to smoke. Right over MY HOUSE was a very (I could see the bottom as plain as day) low flying triangle in shape air craft, on all the points were steady very bright lights in the middle a red smaller flashing one. It was headed north. I heard what I believe were military jets but did not see them, at the time I thought the noise of the jets belonged with what I saw, but that would not make sense, as it was not going fast at all, rather slow in fact. I was just watch UFO FILES on the History Chan. and what I saw is exactly the same as the photos they showed of UFO's seen in Belgium.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Investigation

In January, TAPS spent days investigating Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Base employees have reported hearing footsteps and voices, seeing shadowy figures and apparitions in three of the buildings. Demonic Possession Documented

Once again news of a documented demonic possession is making its way around the net. For me the most frightening and compelling case of demonic possession has been that of Annelise Michel.

"An American woman who levitated, demonstrated paranormal psychic powers and spoke foreign languages unknown to her was clearly demon possessed, according to a board-certified psychiatrist and associate professor of clinical psychiatry at New York Medical College.

The unnamed woman, with a long history of involvement with Satanic groups, was observed by a team of priests, deacons, several lay assistants, psychiatrists, nuns, some of whom also had medical and psychiatric training, levitating six inches off the ground while objects flew off shelves in the same room, according to Dr. Richard E. Gallagher, who documented the case in the February issue of the New Oxford Review."

Irritated With Networks

I am going to take a moment to rant a bit about the networks out there who have their people contact us bloggers to promote their shows.

Recently I was contacted by a promotional executive working with a large network. As a fan of the show, I had no problem posting about it from time to time. In return for my part in promoting them on my site, I was offered an interview with the stars of this show. I was thrilled and sent in 10 questions which were to be posted here. Weeks turned into months and still no interview. I just got the word that due to "circumstances" with the network, I am not getting my interview.

I have decided to take my questions elsewhere and won't be doing networks any favors in the future just so they can use my site to gain ratings - which is all that they care about.

Hi everyone,

There is some question to as whether or not I (as an author) babble on about these strange geometric shapes on the lunar surface and never reveal the Apollo photo archive ID's or if I make it easy for the reader to do their own research. I know that during my research, it was sometimes very difficult to find certain images due to improperly referenced image ID's. I chose to stick with LPI's naming convention for all images used so that there is less confusion.

"ULOs - Unidentified Lunar Objects Revealed In NASA Photography" is broken down by Apollo mission, then by archive photo (with ID), and then additional pages of ULO enlargements.

Additionally, each ULO enlargement is referenced back to the full Apollo photo which has an overlay of boxes identifying where each of the ULOs presented are located within the 'big picture'. This book is not pocket sized (it's 10 inches wide) and you'll be able to spot the ULOs in the full frame rather easily.

What started as a coffee table book of cool photos taken by astronauts turned into something I would have never expected! I invite everyone to first read the entire text of the book online at www.Lunomaly.com . Please note that there are additional illustrative images padding the text in the print version.

You may also be interested to know that I did not use any of the ULOs or 'structures on the Moon' as seen on the Internet or in other books. This is all fresh research and I'm not borrowing from anyone else's previous findings.

Georgia is home to one of the most haunted cities in America. Read this haunting experience a reader had while renting a home in Atlanta, Georgia.

"Hello. I lived at the above address from 1997 to 1999. My family, myself and many of my friends had strange experiences that ranges from creepy to out right terrifying. Voices were heard in conversation that sounded like a woman and two men. My then four year old kept insisting that he saw a man in the mirror with a "string" around his neck. Shadows of people would move about and lights turned on and off. I awoke one night to the sound of a woman laughing and ice pouring out of the ice maker and all over the kitchen floor. Twice human teeth were found in the bathroom. There had been a crawl space under the house, but it had been concreted over. There was a foul odor that came and went on the back porch. All in all, when the landlord became ill and we had to move, no one was sad. Thanks, R."

Paul Shishis

From the age of eight years old, Paul Shishis has had numerous sightings of UFOs and one close encounter. In 1967, Paul had his first of many sightings. He also vividly remembers having a number of recurring dreams between 1963-1965, where he was "being carried by tall white creatures, as two walked side by side with a robotic motion and remember being given a intense white light-with crushing results in the chest." After many years of trying to forget these nightmares, Paul came to the realization that they represented something real and beyond comprehension. Coincidentally, while Paul was having these "nightmares", witnesses were reporting seeing unidentified flying objects in the area. One of these sightings took place in August, 1965, making local news. Paul was kind enough to send me the newspaper article from this sighting.

On August 4, 1977, Paul had a close encounter with a pear shaped craft outside of his place of work. This sighting made headlines in the local paper and Paul reported the incident to NUFORC. (Read Paul's Report)

In 2003, Paul had an profound realization about his many sightings and experiences with UFOs. This awakening has since gained him a different perspective on life. It is his belief that our planet and species are in peril. His mission is to tell his story truthfully and raise awareness about the "higher forces surrounding us. "

To date, Paul has had over 90 sightings of UFOs, his most recent taking place just this past March. He has seen objects of all shapes and sizes. From classic rods and orb shaped to oblong and star shaped. On a number of occasions, Paul was with others who also witnessed the mysterious objects. Paul has sent me a number of photographs taken of mysterious looking objects that do not appear to have been manipulated in any way. Over time, with Paul's permission, I will post the photos on my site.

Lake Ontario UFO

This story was recently sent to me by a reader here in Canada. There have been a number of UFO sightings near Lake Ontario in recent times. Here is one of them.

"This might seem like the most unbelievable story and of course I don’t have any photographic evidence, but in July of 2005, my parents and I were invited to a friend’s house near Lake Ontario just south of our house in Ajax. While we were going to pick my sister up to join us, I spotted a very white, shinny object emanating in the eastern part of the sky. It was a sunny day and there were a few white puffy clouds in the sky. I got out of the car and my dad did also and the object could be seen as a long white cylindrical shaft angled at about 30-50 degrees pointing downward. It was falling at a steady rate towards the lake and had NO and I repeat NO TAIL whatsoever like a comet or and airplane at these altitudes. It appeared for a few minutes but then disappeared behind another large cloud. We watched it and this object must have been large and far up to have been able to be seen and amount to the size of another object that was soon to appear. We estimated that it must have been over eastern Whitby or Oshawa or even further east. Then as we were about to go get my sister, a small black dot that had swooped in from no where and was falling almost the exact path the object was falling downward. It had a tail and we thought it was one of those fighter jets like an F-16 or something similar. By the way my dads one of those buffs on airplanes and history (or at least he thinks he is sometimes) but this time he seemed to be right. Now here's the kicker! The next day my dad called the NORAD service for what was going on in the airspace at that time. We as Canadians have the right to know these things like you or I. But for some ODD reason the person we called gave us the second degree. Not willing to tell us what was going on and seemed skittish/reluctant to tell us. He said many different things like “there was nothing there at that time” and “I don’t have to give you that information” and so on. So he finally hung up on my dad saying “we are very busy at this time please call back at a more appropriate time.” So my dad just left it at that and for three years now I have always been wondering what the object was. A “UFO”, a missile, even though it had no tail and was VERY shiny due to the suns glare, or if it was some experiment for a new kind of airplane? I am one of those people who do believe in some conspiracies, but I'm not one of those crazies you see saying they were abducted and had a baby for the aliens. But, I am a person who is open minded to most things. I wish to share this story because someone either than myself or father must have seen this and would like to know how large indeed this object was.

~Forgot to enclose some info. It was around 4 or 5 in the afternoon, our car was facing an easterly position. I believe the object was high enough to have crash landed into the lake or even across to the US."
